    Abstract text

    With aright and optimal choice of coal open pit mine dewatering system it’s possible to come up to the enlargement of energetic efficiency, by cost’s optimization which is realized thought lowering of working time and dewatering wells capacity with it’s partially suppression from the dewatering systems.

    This is proven by results gained from realization of the Project within the scope of National program of energetic efficiency which was financed by Serbian Ministry of science, on the example of Open pit mine Drmno.

    Apstrakt

    Pravilnim i optimalnim izborom sistema odvodnjavanja površinskog kopa uglja moguće je doći do povećanja energetske efikasnosti, optimizacijom troškova koja se realizuje kroz smanjenje vremena rada i kapaciteta bunara uz njihovo delimično ukidanje iz sistema odvodnjavanja.

    Ovo je dokazano rezulatatima dobijenim realizacijom Projekta Nova tehnologija izrade ekrana u površinskoj eksploataciji uglja u okviru Nacionalnog programa energetske efikasnosti koji je finansiralo Ministarstvo nauke Republike Srbije, a na primeru površinskog kopa Drmno.

    » THE SYSTEM CONCEPT OF PARTIAL DISCHARGES

    Abstract text

    Abstract – The paper presents the concept of the measurement and diagnostics of partial discharges on high-voltage machines and equipment. The significance of off-line and on-line tracking of partial discharges activities and machine state is emphasized. The complementarity of partial discharges diagnostics with other methods is emphasized. The full efficacy of partial discharges tracking and the whole of diagnostics is achieved only if a common measurement aquisition and electronic information system is formed. That means networking of individual partial discharges measurement, forming of connected data bases and knowledge bases, and forming of the corresponding expert systems. Especially important is forming of expert teams to track and develop the usage of such a system.

    » DIAGNOSTICS ELEMENT OF PARTIAL DISCHARGES

    The paper presents the main elements of diagnostics based on the measurement of partial discharges. This area of diagnostics is in expansion enabled by the development of measurement technique and information technologies. Fundamental parameters of partial discharges are discussed. Some reference examples for diagnostics are presented. Primarily, examples of internal partial discharges (cavities, delamination...), surface discharges (Endwinding surface discharges, Conductive particles, Corona discharge) are presented. Of special significance is diagnostics based on tracking the dependence of discharge on the working parameters of the machine (The effect of voltage harmonics, The effect of winding temperature, The effect of load, The effect of cooling air pressure, The effect of humidity).

    » NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF GAS JET PENETRATION INTO A FLUIDIZED BED

    The paper presents a fluid-porous medium model, developed for the purpose of fluidized bed (FB) numerical simulation. In the model, a dense phase is considered to be a fixed porous medium, while gas-particle interactions and the occurrence of bubbling phase are modeled on the basis of a balance of friction forces between gas and particles in the dense phase, taking into account interparticle collisions. This kind of approach to the FB modeling is suitable for computationally efficient engineering calculations of a fluidizing medium in a stationary condition within the FB facilities. The suggested procedure of FB modeling has been applied to a 2D numerical simulation of lateral jet injection of fluid into the FB. The simulation has included determination of jet penetration length into the FB, as well as an analysis of the effects of mixing of injected gaseous fuel with fluidizing fluid – oxidizer. To validate the calculations, the numerical results of lateral jet penetration length into the FB have been compared with the experimental results taken from available references. A general conclusion of numerical and experimental analyses is that jet penetration length into the FB is strongly affected by fluid velocity at the nozzle outlet, while the nozzle inclination angle, as well as the height of the nozzle as placed into the FB furnace, have by far less significant influence. Similarly, numerical experiments with the mixing rate of components (fuel from the nozzle and oxidizer from the main stream of fluidizing gas) show that fluid velocity at the nozzle outlet exerts a pronounced effect on the components mixing degree, while the nozzle inclination angle is by far less influential. However, during analyzing the impact of fuel intake height, it has been demonstrated that the nozzle vertical position along the FB has a significant influence on the mixing rate of chemical components in the FB, which could not be concluded only from the analysis of the jet penetration length into the FB.

    » NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE INFLUENCE OF THE STATIONARY LOUVER AND PARTICLE SIZE ON COAL POWDER DISTRIBUTION I N POWER PLANT BURNING CHANNELS

    One of the key requirements for implementation of plasma system for oil free combustion support on power plant boilers is a regulation of coal powder distribution in burning channels, in order to achieve adequate concentration of coal powder in the zone where thermal plasma is introduced. This can be efficiently achieved by introduction of the stationary louver in the mixing channel in front of the burning channels. This paper deals with the numerical simulation of two phase flow of the air-coal powder mixture in the mixing channel, and analysis of the influence of the coal powder size on the powder mass distribution among burning channels. Numerical simulation was performed by FLUENT 6.3 commercial code. Results show considerable influence of particle size on the overall distribution. It also confirmed stationary louver as efficient tool for separating phases, through its stronger influence on discrete than on continuous phase flow profile.

    » NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF LOUVERS ON THE COAL POWDER DISTRIBUTION IN BOILER BURNING CHANNELS ON TENT-A6

    The measurements performed in 2006 on a boiler of TENT-A1 showed that the distribution of the air-coal powder mixture over the burning channels is not appropriate, and that the amount of coal powder to the higher burners should be reduced. In order to achieve this a system of louvers were applied. This paper deals with the numerical simulation of two phase flow of the air-coal powder mixture in the domain where louvers were settled and in burning channels as well, as a prerequisite for the louver introduction. The emphasize was put on the analysis of the louver geometry characteristics and the louver inclination angle, as a mean parameters which determine powder distribution among the burners. Numerical simulation was performed by FLUENT 6.3 commercial code. It was concluded that louvers represent an efficient tool for the redistribution of coal mixture over the burning channels. Their mutual position is of the crucial importance in managing the coal powder flow. The separation distance between the louver blades at some extent influences the flow pattern, but does not represent dominant parameter, as well as the louver blade inclination angle.

    » DEVELOPMENT OF A SOFTWARE SYSTEM FOR ON-LINE INSTRUCTIVE INTERVENTION FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF STEAM POWER PLANT OPERATION

    The development of this software system was realized through the project 213001 participated by the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia under the National Program of Energy Efficiency. The software system is developed to provide information of instructive character, on the basis of existing operational state of the steam block, with the possibility of on-line interactive intervention in order to improve the process operation. It uses sampled data of the steam block operational state from the last observed period, obtained by our previously developed basic software system for the operation diagnosis of the steam power plant. The particular software subsystem, for the calculations of regime loads and performance parameters on the basis of existing operational state, enables to obtain the real information about the influence of process parameters on heat rate and load deviations necessary for the optimal instructive intervention. In this paper, presented are results of the simulation, obtained with the developed software system, which can be applied for the on-line instructive intervention. Also, some results obtained by the previously developed basic software system, for the operation diagnosis, are discussed in scope of the presented results.

    In this paper the most significant realized results in the field of electric energy own consumption rationalization of power plants, i.e. larger consumer with motors on medium voltage (6 kV), are presented. At first a theoretical brief of losses dependencies and reactive load dependencies from motor voltage values is given. Then, procedures for calculation and analysis of reactive load and losses dependencies from voltage values in consumer power systems with motors are presented. Proceedings used for the reduction of electric energy consumption, are based on analysis of reactive load and losses dependencies mentioned from voltage values, for separate drives and complete consumer load. Concrete results in reduction of electric energy consumption, that are realized by the proceedings, evaluate on 2 035 000 kWh/year active and 28 000 000 kvarh/year reactive energy on the Power plant ”Nikola Tesla” A, Obrenovac.

    » PROGNOZA I MOGUĆNOSTI SMANJENJA EMISIJA UGLJEN-DIOKSIDA IZ TERMOELEKTRANA EPS-a

    Promena klime je postala globalni problem čije su rešavanje započele Ujedinjene Nacije donosenjem Konvencije o klimatskim promenama, zatim i drugih brojnih dokumenata, sa prvobitnim ciljem da se postigne "stabilizacija koncentracije gasova koji proizvode efekat staklene baste (GHG) na nivo koji ne bi doveo do opasnih antropogenih uticaja na klimatske promene".

    Ispunjenje postavljenog cilja zahteva smanjenje emisija GHG, tako da su Kyoto Protokolom industrijski razvijene zemlje preuzele obavezu da do 2012. godine svoje emisije nevedenih gasova smanje za najmanje 5% u odnosu na baznu 1990. godinu.

    Nasa zemlja je ratifikovala Kyoto Protokol krajem 2007. godine, pri čemu, kao zemlja u razvoju, za sada nije preuzela obavezu smanjenja emisija u prvom obavezujućem periodu (do 2012. godine.), ali ima mogućnost da se uključi u realizaciju tzv. Projekata čistog razvoja (CDM projekta).

    Imajući u vidu strukturu izvora ugljen-dioksida u Srbiji, jasno je da su termoelektrane Elektroprivrede Srbije koje kao osnovno gorivo koriste lignit, među najvecim emiterima ugljendioksida. S obzirom da se očekuje da će u narenom periodu svaki izvor dobiti svoju kvotu emisije CO2, neophodno je analizirati realne mogućnosti smanjenja emisija GHG iz postojećih i novih termo kapaciteta u njihovom budućem radu.

    U tom smislu u ovom radu su prezentovani rezultati sledećih analiza:

    analiza emisija ugljendioksida iz termoelektrana EPS-a u prethodnom periodu,

    analiza dosadašnjeg rada pojedinih blokova na lignit i aktuelnih pokazatelja njihovog rada,

    analiza mogućih poboljšanja rada blokova u smislu povećanja energetske efikasnosti

    analiza efekata mogućih poboljšanja na nivo emisija CO2

    Kao rezultat data je ocena realne uloge Elektroprivrede u procesu donošenja daljih odluka zemlje u pogledu obaveza eventualnih smanjanja emisija GHG kao i drugih aktivnosti koje se odnose na strategiju upravljanja emisijama GHG.

    WEB ORIENTED INFORMATION SUBSYSTEM FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY MONITORING IN TERMOELECRICITY POWER PLANT

    ABSTRACT

    This study presents solution realization for the energy efficiency monitoring of distributed technological processes and integration with company’s business information system, which gives support to postoperative analysis, to operative and strategic decision-making and it has internet web access over three-leveled authorization. This information subsystem relies on data and calculation which it gets from: technical and technological data base (BTP), mathematical model of technological process (MMTP), dislocated SCADA information subsystems, and planned documents of system - technological process, centralized financial and material accountancy of the system. Integrating these subsystems, daily energy and economical indicators of energy efficiency in company’s business are generating and by that have retroactive influence on production process. The special stress is given to solution realization for dynamic defining of discreet mathematics model of any control object - technological process without need for programming, which is done over the developed mathematics editor, is such a way that mathematics model is saved in relation data base and it is easy to change. This solution makes possible simulation and analysis using model “if - then“, effects of some parameters on production process over the mathematics models for work simulation in complete plant, when it is possible to apply planned method of control over “FUZZY logics“ and linear programming.

    WEB ORJENTISANI INFORMACIONI PODSISTEM ZA PRAĆENJE ENERGETSKE EFIKASNOSTI TERMOELEKTRANA - TOPLANA

    Rad prezentira realizaciju rešenja aplikacije za praćenje energetske efikasnosti distribuiranih tehnoloških procesa i integraciju u informacioni poslovni sistem preduzeća , koja pruža podršku postoperativnoj analizi, operativnom i strategijskom odlučivanju i ima internet web pristup preko autorizacije na tri nivoa. Ovaj informacioni podsistem se oslanja na podatke i proračune koje dobija iz : baze tehničko - tehnoloških podataka (BTP), matematičkog modela tehnoloških procesa (MMTP) , dislociranih SCADA informacionih podsistema , planskih dokumenata sistema - tehnološkog procesa , centralizovanog finansijskog i materijalnog knjigovodstva sistema.Integracijom ovih podsistema generišu se dnevni energetski i ekonomski pokazatelji energetske efikasnosti u poslovanju preduzeća i time povratno utiče na process proizvodnje.

    Poseban akcenat je dat na realizaciji rešenja za dinamičko definisanje diskretnog matematičkog modela bilo kojeg objekta upravljanja - tehnološkog procesa bez potrebe za programiranjem , koji se vrši preko razvijenog matematičkog editora, tako da se matematički model čuva u relacionoj bazi podataka i lako ga je izmeniti. Ovim rešenjem omogućena je simulacija i analiza po modelu 'ako-onda', uticaja pojedinih parametara na proces proizvodnje preko matematičkih modela za simulaciju rada kompletnih postrojenja, kada je moguće primeniti kombinovanu metodu upravljanja preko 'FUZZY logike' i linearnog programiranja.
